Biography

Arthur was born on 18 October 1905 (see 1939 Register). Arthur's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1905 in the King's Norton district.^[1] He was the son of Alfred Hancock and Lily Moles.

In the 1911 census Arthur (age 5) was the son of Alfred Hancock in Balsall Heath, Worcestershire, England.^[2]

Arthur's marriage to Sarah Winifred Layton was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1935 in the Birmingham district.^[3] They had 2 children: Kenneth and David.

In the 1939 register Arthur, Auto Gas Meter Collector, was the married head of household at 97, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.^[4]

Arthur died on 21 April 1969 (aged 63) in Birmingham and his estate passed probate on 17 June 1969 in Birmingham.^[5].^[6]
