James Anderson Hancock was a ʻ49er who left Pulaski County Missouri for the gold rush in El Dorado County. He later returned to Missouri, married, and moved with his new wife to El Dorado County permanently. He owned one or more gold mines and prospered.
James died (age 84) on 5 March 1918 in El Dorado, California, United States.[1]
