Jeremiah C. Hancock served the State of Georgia in the Confederate Army in the US Civil War along with several of his kin in the 50th Georgia Regiment known as the Colquitt Marksmen. Three of his sons and at least one of his nephews were killed in the US Civil War.
Jeremiah C. Hancock passed away December 13, 1864.
