Obits. James Walter Hancock, 78, died Saturday morning in a local rest home. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Harvest Time Tabernacle, with rev. A.L. Shumard officating. Mr. Hancock, who had been in ill health for about three years, came to Hughes County in 1925 from Braden, Le Flore Co., Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Lee, Oklahoma City; Emett, Chandler; Auther, La Vaca, Ark. ; 12 grandchildren. Bearers will be Frank Kiser, Lon Baker, B. Harris, Elvie Crum, T.J. Lankford and Leonard Holdergrast. Burial will be in Holdenville Cemetary under the direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Blk: C; Lot: 40 Grave: 40 Blk 2 Pg 97 Owner of Plot J.W. Hancock Deed 9-22-1948
