Shrewsbury Rutland County. Vermont, USA. 2 Death: Aug. 31, 1899. Fillmore Millard County. Utah, USA. 2 Daughter of Benjamin Hancock (1782-1858) and Lucretia Proctor (1788-1825). Married Joseph Robison Feb 5, 1829 (exact day is debated), in Clay, Onondaga, New York. 13 children blessed this union. Alfred, Benjamin Hancock, Joseph Vickery, Alvin Locke, Emily, William Henry, Mary, Lucretia Proctor, Proctor Hancock, Almon, Albert, Adelia, Franklin Alonzo. Emily and Mary died very young. Her family moved from New York, where her first 9 children were born, to Crete, Illinois where they lived for 10 years. The youngest 4 children were born here. In 1854 the family took the Mormon trail to Utah and settled in Fillmore. They left behind the oldest son, Alfred, who refused to go. They lived the the "Old Fort" for several years until the Indian troubles were all resolved. Then they built a home out of rock that was hauled in from what was called Baldwin’s quarry, about four or five miles south of Fillmore, where Maycock’s spring is now. Lucretia stayed in Fillmore most of the rest of her life. 2 Family links: Parents:
