Alfred was born in 1912.HANCOCK, Alfred John Spencer: Mother's maiden name: PRATT.[1][2] He was the son of Alfred Hancock and Miriam Pratt.
Cadet Alfred John Spencer Hancock was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps on 25 May 1940[3].
Alfred married Desiree Muntz. Their marriage was registered in Winchester, Hampshire in the fourth quarter of 1940.[4]
He was the Judge to the Jockey Club, which is the correct title for that service and his family held that position for over one hundred years.
