Mary Hannley was born in The Borough, London about 1812, the daughter of Edward Hannley and Catherine Connor.^[1]

Richard Francess / Francis and Mary Handley were the parents of Catherine (Francess) Bouffler and Julia Ann (Francis) Austin.

Mary married John Gallagher in Molong in 1857 using her married name of Francis.^[1]

No details of her passing have been located.

Last Name at Birth

The registration for Mary's second marriage in Molong, NSW records her parents' names as Edward and Catherine Hannley, formerly Connor. Given that Mary "made her mark" on this document the spelling of her maiden name may not be reliable.

However, her daughter Catherine's marriage registration records Mary's name as Handley. Catherine's death registration has the same spelling.
