Thomas, the son of Thomas Handsfield & Elizabeth, was baptised on 18 September 1825 in Goring by Sea, Sussex, England.[1][2] He married a woman named Maria and had at least two children with her: Sarah[3] and Frances (Fannie)[4]. Thomas (age 52) re-married to Margaret Gilmartin (age 39) on 28 January 1879 in Brantford, Brant, Ontario, Canada.[5] They had one son, Herbert. Thomas died (age 93) on 28 January 1919 in Brantford, Brant Co., Ontario.[6]
