Biography
Mary E. Handy was born February 19, 1849 in Candor, Tioga County, New York. [1] She was the daughter of Michael and Susan (Unknown) Handy. [2] Her mother died in 1852 and she was raised by her step-mother, Marie “Elizabeth” (Wright) Handy. [3]
Mary married James Gaylord Wilcox in 1868. [4] This is known based on the following articles which appeared in a local newspaper.

Mary E. Wilcox died March 4, 1911. She is buried in the Ithaca city Cemetery in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York. [5]
