Bernard O. Haney, 71, formerly of Woodland and most recently of Hyde, PA, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at the Clearfield Hospital. Born February 12, 1933 in Glen Richey, he was the son of J. Orvis and Velma A. (Peoples) Haney. He retired from Kurtz Brothers in Clearfield after 32 years of service. He had also worked for PCN Foods, Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging and as a Ticket Officer for the Clearfield Boro. He was a member of the former Mt. Hope United Methodist Church and after that had attended the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He was a member of the Graphic Communications Union Local #493.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son James C. Haney. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Dr. Duane White officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of services. The family suggests that contributions be made to Margaret C. Haney, P.O. Box 534 Hyde, PA 16843 or to A.L.S. Association, Research, 21021 Ventura Blvd.., Suite 321, Woodland Hills, CA 91364.
