Thomas was born about 1729. He was the son of Jeremiah Hanks and Mary Jellicoe. He passed away about 1781.

Research notes

Thomas does not appear on his parents' family list. The date of his birth has been estimated from the date of his marriage, the date of his parents' marriage and the statement on a deed that he was their second son. He left a will dated 21 Feb 1778 and proved 3 March 1781 which mentioned his wife, child, siblings, nephews and a cousin which helps fix him in the family tree.
