Edith Marie Little, 85, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010, in Saline Care Center.
Edith was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Marion, the daughter of Alonzo and Mary (Klope) Hanks.
She married William "Bill" Little on March 12, 1946, and together they shared over 42 years of marriage, until his death June 27, 1988.
She was a member of Davis Prairie Baptist Church and worked as a cook for the Marion Unit 2 School District.
She is survived by her son, Charles Little and wife, JoAnn, of Mulkeytown; daughter, Beulah Miskelley and husband, Thomas, of Marion; daughter, Dianne Snyder and husband, Cecil, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; son, Danny Little and wife, Denise, of Creal Springs; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Fern Randall of Mount Vernon, Margurete Rushing of Jefferson City, Mo., Elise Black and husband, Bob, of Marion and Carrie Hensley of Cuba, Mo.; two brothers, Ruel Hanks and wife, Mary, of Pittsburg and Richard Hanks of Goreville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Julie Snyder; and brothers, Gilbert, Dale and Lyman Hanks.
Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion, Williamson County, Illinois
