Birth: David was born on 21 October 1934.
Death: He passed away on 30 December 2015.
Obituary: "Dave, a devoted husband, loving father, brother, grandfather, and close friend to many ended his long battle with Alzheimer’s with the same strength and courage with which he lived his life. Dave grew up one of three children and served his country proudly through the United States Army, stationed at Fort Campbell, during the Korean War. He graduated from Buffalo State with his bachelor’s degree and then went on to the University of Buffalo to receive his master’s degree. Early in his career, he taught Industrial Arts, before spending 33 years as a guidance counselor with the Fairport Central School District. Dave had a passion for assisting young people; encouraging them to become independent thinkers and problem solvers. His family recalls how many of his students would stop, when they saw him years later and share the impact that he had on their lives and how much they appreciated him. Dave was a true outdoorsman-enjoying camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking and sailing. Dave instilled in his own children a sense of adventure and love for the outdoors that he believed would lead to a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Dave was a great teacher, inside and outside of the classroom, who will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by many."[1]
