Corporal George Hanmer died during World War I.

George Hanmer was born in 1885. He was the son of Thomas Hanmer and Anne Gough.[1]

George was recorded in the house of his paternal grandparents in the 1891 census, along with his siblings, John, Thomas, and Sarah Jane.[2]

He married Ellen Latham in 1906.[3]

George died on 16 March 1916 at age 31 and is buried in Port Said War Memorial Cemetery, Port Said, Būr Sa‘īd, Egypt. [4] [5]
