Jane (Hannah) Fleming was born in Scotland.

Jane was born Jean Hannah on the 21st of March ^{[citation needed]} and baptised on the 25th of March, 1790, at Kirkinner, Wigtownshire, Scotland, the daughter of William Hannah^[1], and Sarah McCrackan^[2][3][4]

At 3, in about1793, her brother William was born in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland.

At 5, in about 1796, her brother George was born in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland.

At 7, after 1796, her father William died, in Scotland.^{[citation needed]}

At 24, on the 7th of August, 1814, she married William Fleming in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland.^[5] and they had 7 children, namely: Sarah (1), Elisabeth, Jean, Sarah (2), John, William and Isabella.

At 25, on the 25 of March, 1815, her daughter Sarah was born, in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

At 27, on the 12th of January, 1818, her daughter Elisabeth was born, in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

At 30, on the 22nd of March, 1820, her daughter Jean was born, in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

At 51, in 1841, as "Jane" she was living in Old Hall, Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland with William, and children: Jane, Sarah, William and Isabella.^{[6] [7]} At 60, in 1851, as Jane, she was living in Old Hall, Penninghame, with her occupation listed as Farmer’s Wife, with William and daughters Elizabeth and Isabella.^[8][9]

At 72, on the 12th of January, 1863, her husband William died, in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.^{[citation needed]}

AT 80, on the 7th of February, 1871, her daughter Elisabeth died, almost certainly in Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

At 80, in 1871, now a widow, she was a Farmer of 5 acres, arable and pasture, at Old Hall, Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland with daughter Isabella and others.^[10]

At 82, on the 27th of August, 1882, her brother William died, in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, at 36.

At 83, on the 25th of June, 1873, she died, in Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.^{[11][citation needed]}
