Dick served in WWI from November 1917 to September 1919. Dick married Margaret Pierce in Vancouver, Washington on 05 Jul 1934. Like his father, was very active in the community. Dick was a postmaster from 7 Sep 1935 until his death, 16 Feb 1954. His wife was also active in the community. In the 1940 census they were listed as 44 and 42 years old with a 19 year old daughter, Margaret L.
