Son of James Hannum and Ann Naucett.

Peter Hannum, (James), b. 4-15-1769, near Chadd's Ford, Delaware Co., Pa.; d. 6-24-1814; m. 3-15-1792, in Birmingham Twp., Delaware Co., Amy Davis, b. 10-10-1761; d. 12-30-1792, near Chadd's Ford; buried at Concord Friends' Burying Ground; dau. of Betty Davis. Peter was a carpenter in Delaware County. Issue:

Davis Hannum, b. 12-22-1792; d. 2-28-1857; m. Ann Hannum. No. 223.

Peter was again married 8-25-1795, to Elizabeth Shields, b. 4-4-1772; d. 2-28-1835; buried at Brandywine Baptist Church, Delaware County.

Children: Thomas S., b. 6-3-1796; d. 3-24-1837; m. Eliza Collins.

Ann N., b. 3-1-1798; d. 12-26-1826, unmarried. Buried at Brandywine Baptist Church.
