Biography

He married Elizabeth Orin, 25 Aug 1829 in Columbiana County, Ohio.

Upper Darby Township, Delaware, Pennsylvania was the home of James Hannum in 1860. He was age 59, b. ca 1801 in Pennsylvania. His wife Mary was age 58 b PA; daughter Elmira Hannum was age 28 b PA; daughter Mary was age 20; Benjamin F Hannum was age 18 b PA; daughter Anne E Hannum was age 13.[1]

Children, surnamed Hannum, all born in Augusta Township:

Thomas Orin, b. 7-4-1830; d. 3-17-1833, Augusta Twp.; buried at Still Fork Cemetery, Augusta Twp.
Sara, b. 3-3-1833. Address, East Fairfield, Columbiana Co., Ohio.
Robert Bentley, b. 8-8-1835; d. 8-7-1864, on the battle field before Atlanta, Ga., and was buried there. He was a member of Co. D. 38th Reg't O.V.I.; unmarried.
John Sharp, b. 3-29-1838; d. 6-5-1863. He was wounded in the army and taken on board a boat to be taken to Washington, D.C., when it is supposed he died and was buried in the James River. Unmarried.
Abel Shields, b. 12-24-1840; d. 3-18-1863, Galena, Arkansas; another report is, that he died of typhoid fever in an army hospital at Helena, Ark. He was in the army at the time. Unmarried.
Keziah Jane, b. 2-17-1846; m. 8-3/1867, Augusta, Carroll Co., Alexander Stuller, b. 5-11-1844, Augusta Twp.; son of James Stuller and Catherine Himendinger, of Augusta Twp. Alexander is a farmer in Augusta Township. Children, all born in Augusta Township, and Curtis and Willie died there: Milton S., b. 8-22-1868. Alice May, b. 12-25-1870. Harris, b.7-9-1873. Alvin, b. 5-1-1877. Curtis, b. 1-28-1880; d. 1-28-1885. Willie, b. 6-20-1884; d.2-18-1885. The person furnishing these records thinks Curtis and Willie were buried at Still Fork Cemetery, Augusta Twp. Address, Augusta, Carroll Co., Ohio.
Margaret Elizabeth, b. 7-18-1852; d. 4-13-1869, Augusta Twp.: buried at Still Fork Cemetery.
