Clara (22) married Joseph Schroeder (26) (born on April 7, 1887 in Remsen, Plymouth, Iowa; son of John Schroeder and Helen (Treinen) Schroeder) on January 27, 1914[3]. Their children were:

  1. Celesta Elizabeth Schroeder (1920–2017)
  2. Silverius Theodore Schroeder (1922–2017)
  3. Irvin Dominic Schroeder (1924–2018)
  4. Gilbert Mathew Schroeder (1927–2020)

Clara died on April 4, 1979 in Le Mars, Plymouth County, Iowa, aged 87. She was buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Remsen, Plymouth County, Iowa.[5]
