Last Rites for Clarence Hanson Held March 21 (1968)

Clarence Leonard Hanson, one of ten children of Hans and Anna Hanson, was born at Nelson, Minnesota. He died March 18, 1968. Clarence married Gretchen Nelson on July 18, 1925. They farmed in the Osakis and Alexandria area. After leaving the farm he worked for John Deere, operated his own restaurant business for 8 years and worked in the meat department of Harry's Supermarket. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 21, 1968 with Pastor C. David Helgen officiating. The organist was Mrs. Arthur Ferris and the soloist Mrs. James Holt. The pallbearers were Roger Larson, Roy Murray, Ernest White, Vern Lindquist, Everett Anderson and Arthur Ferris. Interment at the Nelson Cemetery. Mr. Hanson is survived by his wife Gretchen, three sons: Merle of Osakis, Robert of Warsaw Indiana, and Philip of Moorhead, Minnesota; sixteen grandchildren; his mother, Anna; four brothers: William and Lambert of Alexandria, Wallace of Brainerd, Sidney of Glendale, California, and three sisters: Vivian Carpenter of Burbank California, Ruth Anderson and Ruby Hanson of Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Raymond, one sister Florence Brask, and a son Clarence Jr. and a daughter Viola.
