Biography

John was born in 1782 & baptised John Hanwell, 25 November 1782 Hull, Yorkshire the son of John Hanwell. [1]

The marriage of John Hanwell & Mary Hardern was conducted on 20 February 1810, Prestbury, Cheshire. [2]

Living in Louth, Lincolnshire in 1841 with wife Mary & children were he was a Wesleyan minister. [3]

A retired Wesleyan Minister with wife Mary & daughter Eliza in 1851 living in Back Hill Street, Norwich, Norfolk. [4]

Rev. John Hanwell retired to Norwich, then made a horseback journey from Norwich to Brandon, to visit his Daughter Mrs Mary Allen. John died a few days after arriving at Brandon.

He died on 3 July 1854. [5] [6]
