Biography

Volga German
Adam Happel was a Volga German.
Adam Happel has German Roots.

Family #126 and #297 in the 1834 Grimm census.

Johann Adam Happel was born about 1804 in Grimm, Russia. According to the 1834 Grimm census, he lived for a time with his uncle Johannes Happel. This suggests that neither of his parents were living as of 1834. Another comment says he was the son of an unnamed brother of Johannes Happel. The only surviving brother with a documented marriage is Johann Georg Happel. Brother Georg Christophel is not named in any census after 1775 and was probably deceased by 1798. Johann Adam's parents were probably Johann Georg and Elisabeth Margaretha Felde.
