Charles was born in 1911. He was the son of Isaac Harbarger and Isabella Martin.^[1] In 1940 he is living with his widowed mother and farming in Dunbar Township.^[2] On 20 March 1942 he enlisted in the U. S. Army.^[3] He saw action on Guam and Okinawa.

Charles married Amelia Alberta Fisher. Marriage license notice was published on 16 January 1952.^[4] He passed away in 1976.^[5]
