Son of Thomas Wylie Harbin (1760-1808) and Mary "Polly" Witherspoon (1764-1865), who married on October 10, 1787 in Wilkes County, North Carolina, Thomas Witherspoon Harbin was born on May 10, 1801, in Pendleton, South Carolina. He was the husband of Caroline Reeder (1812–1848). He died on August 12, 1853, in South Carolina at the age of 52, and was buried in Fair Play, South Carolina.[1]
