Biography

Anneta Sophia "Annie" Harden was born in Long Island, Bahamas to John Harden and Josephine Bonamy.

Annetta may have married John A Roker; they had children, all born in St. Anne's Parish, in Nassau, Bahamas: Margaret Annetta Roker, born in 1882; John Alfred Roker, born 6 May 1884, and twins Edward Augustus Roker and Mary Helena Roker born 27 July 1886. John A Roker of St. Anne's Parish, Nassau, moved to Key West, Florida, and died there in 1914.

Annie married Thomas Albert Saunders about 1890-1891, per the 1900 US Federal Census. The couple had a son Nathaniel Thomas "Natty" Saunders.

Thomas Albert Saunders, painter, and Anneta Saunders moved their family to Florida before 1900. They appeared in the 1900 Federal Census living in Key West with Anneta's two sons Edward and John, and their son, Nathaniel Saunders. Thomas' mother, Adriana Weech Saunders, was living next door to them.

Anneta and Thomas Albert Saunders eventually moved to Palm Beach County.

Anneta was born about 1857. She is the daughter of John Harden and Josephine Bonamy.
