Biography

Jacob "Levenics" Harder was born on 11 Aug 1818 in New York.[1] He was baptized at the Reformed Church, Claverack, Columbia, New York, on 5 Sept 1818. His parents were Charles Harder and Maria Snyder.[2]

"Alcista" B. Vaughn and Jacob Harder were married on 28 Nov 1847 in Shiawassee County, Michigan.[3] They had one child:

  • Arletta (Harder) Smith

In 1850, Jacob S. Harder, a farmer, lived in Shiawassee, Shiawassee, Michigan, with his wife Alcesta B. and daughter Arletta.[4]

In 1880, Jacob and Carrie Harden lived in Nashville, Barry, Michigan. Jacob was an M.E. minister.[5]

Jacob S. Harder, a widowed clergyman, died of heart failure on 25 Sept 1901 at Nashville, Barry, Michigan.[1] and is buried at the Lakeview Cemetery, Nashville, Barry, Michigan.[6] You can see a picture of his gravestone at FindAGrave.
