Biography

Newell Harding was born on July 29, 1838 in Maine. He was the son of Knowles Harding and Eunice Dyer. At age 11, He was in his parent's home in Unity, Waldo, Maine in 1850^[1]

The greater part of his life was engaged in Farming in Unity, Waldo, Maine.

Newell (age 25) Registered for the Civil War Draft, in Unity, Maine 5th district.^[2]

He married Florence Arvilla Edwards (1841-1917) on August 31, 1869 in Jackson, Maine.^[3] They had no children.

They started out their married life in his parent's home in Unity, Waldo, Maine where he was Farming.^[4][5]

In 1880 they were farming in Unity, with his parent's, Retired, in the home with them^[6]

He died at the age of 79, on October 6, 1917 and was buried in the Cates Cemetery in Jackson, Waldo County, Maine.^[7]
