- William Edgar Harding was born October 5, 1861, the son of George and Amelia (GIffin) Harding of Port L'Hebert Nova Scotia[1]
- He married Margaret Giffin, daughter of Jacob Ringer and Penina Abbott Giffin[2], and they had children including :
- Dorothy, born September 1, 1900, who died as an infant
- Ruth Lee born April 16, 1903, unmarried
- Marion, born November 18 1905[3], who died March 1944 unmarried
- Margaret Chadsey, born June 3, 1911[4], who married Thomas Gerald Francis
- William died November 6, 1941 in Lockeport, Nova Scotia[5]
