Biography
Dean was born in 1966. He was the son of William Hardwick and Dorothy Jones. He passed away in 2016.
Dean A. “Deano” Hardwick Sr., 49, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday morning, March 27, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Hospital.
He was born on September 21, 1966 in Neenah, WI, son to William and Dorothy (Jones) Hardwick. At the age of 13, Dean’s family moved to Escanaba. He attended school in Rapid River.
On December 14, 1990, Dean married Mary P. McDonald in Escanaba.
Dean was employed with Jake’s Buggy Wash and then was the manager at Bob’s Buggy Wash for 20 years. He later worked for Decker Koepp Auto Sales.
He enjoyed being involved with the Tuesday night pool league and was an avid Packer fan. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Among survivors include his wife, Mary of Escanaba; four children, Patricia “Tricia” (Mike Barrett) Hardwick, Deanna Hardwick, Leanna Hardwick, and Dean Hardwick, Jr. all of Escanaba; grandchildren, Carter, Michael “MJ”, Madisyn “Maddi” Barrett; siblings, Wayne (Tonya) Hardwick, Jeff Hardwick, Elsie (Wendell) LaPalm and Allen Hardwick all of Escanaba and Kayleen (Victor) Briggs of Iron Mountain; mother in law, Mary McDonald of Escanaba; brothers in law, Daniel (Donna) McDonald and Steven (Vicki) McDonald of Escanaba; sister in law, Debra (Roy) Webber of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. A gathering will follow at the North Town Crown.
Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Hardwick family.
