Note: Nathan and Mary had a neighbor named Gadi Braswell. It was common to name your children after your parents, brothers or sisters. This Gadi was one year older (married to Effie McArthur) than Mary and could have been her brother. If this is true, then Mary's maiden name would be Braswell.
