Richard Hardy I was a Virginia colonist.

According to Randy Regan, Richard Hardy was the son of Thomas Hardy, Sr. and an unknown wife.[1] Unfortunately, for this information, no evidence or sources are offered.

It seems like one generation has been skipped here. Hon. Samuel Hardy should probably be the son of Richard Hardy II who was a Burgess from 1772 to 1774.

On 8 June 1789 Richardy Hardy II wrote his will and stated he had to sell the property of his son Samuel (probably because Samuel was desceased.)
