Madeleine was born on 24 April 1834 in Nouvelle, Bonaventure. She was the daughter of Thomas Hardy and Madeleine Roussy. She was baptised on 25 December 1834 in Bonaventure.
Madeleine (21) married Siméon Roussy (30) on 29 January 29 1856 in Paspébiac, Bonaventure, Canada-Est. Their children were:
