It appears that John had at least four children with Panache Archambeau (who is described as a 'Free Mestee' on baptism records of their children) in Kingston, Jamaica. It is not clear if they were ever married.
At some point, he appears to have moved to London and married Helene Clementine Auchambau - it is not known if Helene's name is spelt incorrectly on their marriage record from 1815 and she is related to Panache, or if it us just a coincidence of having similar names.
It has also been suggested that that Panache and Helene are the same person, but she changed her name upon arrival in England... we may never know.
John was baptised on 31 January 1773 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.[1]
He married Helene Clementine Auchamban at St Georges, Bloomsbury, London, England on July 25 1815. [2]
John's death was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1860 in the Pancras district.[3]
Death - Probate Record 1860.
