Unfortunately John Hare, according to my grandfather Samuel Hare, never married Mary Thompson and their son William was raised by the McFaddens. We do not know exactly when Mary died but she was living with her parents in 1871 and I could not find her on the 1881 Canadian Census. My grandfather Samuel was told by his father William John Hare that Mary died young. John Hare married Elizabeth Bradford a few years before he died. Their son was Joseph Henry born in 1868. After John's death in 1870 she married William McCrea.
I also removed Margaret Ann Hare Ryan as a child of John's. He lived his whole live in Wolford, Grenville Co but Margaret was born in 1859 in Toronto so I do not think he was her father.
Removing Elizabeth Bradford as the spouse of John Hare. My rational for this is the birth of John's son William John Hare, in 1862, whose mother, Mary A. Thompson survived the death of John Hare, who died in 1870. Elizabeth, who married William James McCrea and is buried with him after the birth of at least four children, born between 1874 and 1878, would not have married John while his wife was still alive.
