Ellis was baptised on 19 Apr 1778 at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, the son of Ellis Hare and Elizabeth Sanders. [1]

He married Rebecca Ingram at Old Warden on 11 Apr 1797 [2]

He was buried in 1859 at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, age 82. [3]
