Research Notes

There may be two Geroge Hargis's or transcription dates that are showing may be incorrect.

There is a George Hargis born 26/10/1617 London England in London England to a George Hargis and Patter Hargis, which I can easily see Katteren being transcribed this way.[1]

We next see A George Hargis who would immigrate to Virginia in 1642[2]

However if this is this George Hargis, how do we account for the child attached him commonly as Thomas Hargis born in England still in 1647? He immigrated to mary land in 1663.[3]
