BERTHA B COTTON[6] May 11, 1920 - Jan 29, 1986
Bertha Beatrice Cotton of 607 N. Sixth St., died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 65.
Mrs. Cotton, a homemaker, was a 46 year resident of Grand Junction.
She was born May 11, 1920 to Hubert Magill and Lola Lee Kerley Hargis in Breckenridge and spent her childhood and attended schools in Kansas and Crested Butte. She was graduated from Grand Valley High School and attended Mesa College. She moved to Grand Junction in 1940.
She married Joseph Warren Cotton Jan. 6, 1942 in Grand Junction. Mr. Cotton is owner of Joe Cotton Auto Repair. Mr. Cotton is owner of Joe Cotton Auto Repair.
Mrs. Cotton's interests were her rose garden, country and western music, crocheting and reading.
Others survivors include two daughters, Waunita L. Cerise of Arvada and Rita J. Sage of Golden; a son, Jerry R. of Fruita; three sisters, Lila White of Pontiac, Mich., Gladis Dickerson of El Cajon, Calif., and Velma Banks of Grand Junction; a brother, Walter Hargis of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and Martin Hargis.
No services are planned. Friends may call at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary until 5 pm today.
