In October of 1940 he confirmed his right hand was crippled, he'd grown to 5' 10 and 160 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a ruddy complexion. At the time he was working for Fentress Coal & Coke Co in Wilder, Fentress County Tennesssee, and living there as well[1]
His final home would be in Mayland, Cumberland County, Tennessee[2] and he would be a miner[2]
Death
He died on the 27th of July 1962 in Monterey, Putnam, Tennessee[2] and he would be buried in the Mayland Cemetery in Mayland, Cumberland County, Tennessee[6]
