Biography

Elizabeth Christina Harington was born on 12th December, 1771 and privately baptised by her father on 23rd December, 1771 [1][2] Her public baptism was perfomed at Woodford, Wiltshire on 8th May 1772. [3] She was the sixth of ten children of Rev Dr John Harington and Rachel (Hawes) Harington.

Elizabeth's mother Rachel died in February 1782 when Elizabeth was only 10 years old. [4] Her father John died in June 1795 a few months before Elizabeth's marriage.

On 31 December 1795 Elizabeth became the second wife of shipbuilder William Moffat at Amport, Hampshire[5] [6] There do not appear to be any children from the marriage. William died in 1822.

According to Crisp Elizabeth died at Earls Cross, London[5] in 1844 and was buried in Brompton Cemetery, London (which was then only a few years old) but no death or burial records have been found.
