Ralph was the son of Ralph Harker and Mary Shank. He married Ina May Christy in 1940 in Ohio. [1] He served in the Navy during World War II. He worked at Howard Arb Motors, National Drawn Steel and the Sammis Plant, from which he retired. [2]
Ralph Joseph Harker, 98, of East Liverpool, OH, passed away on August 25, 2020 at the Calcutta Health Care Center.
Ralph was born on November 4, 1921 in McKeesport, PA the son of the late Ralph Guy Harker and Mary Shank Hartenbach.
Ralph served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked at Howard Arb Motors, National Drawn Steel and retired from the Sammis Plant.
He leaves behind his wife of 80 years, Ina Mae Christy Harker, whom he married on May 25, 1940. Also left to cherish his memory are three daughters: Doris, Irene, and Christy; and his son, Ralph. He also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Howard Harker.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by: his daughters, Mary Lou McClure and Judy Harker, and his son, Edward Harker; four sisters: Helen White, Edith McClelland, Marsala Kennedy, and Jean Owens; two brothers, Jacob Goempel and James Harker; and step father, Mark Hartenbauch.
