Probably born in the Province of Pennsylvania, in that part which is now part of Delaware..

Soloman was a well-to-do farmer.

The date of death is taken from the book History and genealogy of the Harlan family by Harlan, Alpheus H. it is interesting to find that there is a Soloman Harlan listed as a tax payer in London Grove, Chester County in 1768 according to Pennsylvania Archives though the will listed in the aforementioned appears in my opinion to be more valuable than a tax assessors record.
