THE COMBINATION ATLAS MAP OF KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, INDIANA, 1879, page 41, states: The first death (Plain Township) was that of Henry, son of John RUBY, who died 18 April 1833. Malinda HARLAN died on the day following, and Maria HARLAN died on the 23d day of the same month. All were buried on the land now known as the Samuel Thomas farm, on Section 10. (Plain Township).
