Biography

Mollie was the daughter of Isaac Harless & Melissa Sisk. She was actually born in 1868 in Lee Co., Va. & had one brother, George Walter Harless. Mollie never knew her father since he died either before or soon after she was born. Her mother married John Gray in 1870 & he raised both her & her brother George.

Mrs Dow Bloomer Clinchport, Va.---Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:30 p.m. for Mrs. Dow Bloomer, 72, who died unexpectedly Friday at 1 a.m. while visiting her daughter, Mrs. H. K. Horton of Lynn Garden, Kingsport. The Rev. Worley Dockery and the Rev. Mitchell Sloan, both of Clinchport, will officiate at the services, to be conducted at Mrs. Bloomer's home here. Burial will be in the family cemetery. A native of Scott County, Mrs. Bloomer had spent her entire life in this section. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Fairview. Survivors include Mrs. Horton and two other daughters, Mrs. Mattie Qualls of Clinchport and Mrs. S. B. Lockhart of Fall Branch; two sons, Van Bloomer of Pardee, Va., and Lloyd Bloomer of Jackson, Miss.; half brother, Will Gray of Speers Ferry, Va.; 35 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
