Biography

Joseph was born about 1826.

Research Note

  • We assumed Joseph was the son of William Harman and Mary Woodrow because on the 1851 census he was living next door to two sons of William & Mary. He died sometime before the 1861 census and his widow remarried Charles Duffy.
  • But we now have William Harman’s 1877 Will, where he names even his deceased children and does not name a Joseph. So not sure who his parents are.
