Henry Charles Harman was the younger brother of my GG Grandmother Lucy Harman. They were the eldest of 7 children. Henry Charles Harman was born on 30 Sept 1862 at Farnham Royal Buckinghamshire England he was christened at Farnham Royal on 21 Nov 1862.
Henry arrived in Maryborough aboard the Glamorganshire on 3 May 1874. He travelled with his parents and siblings. One sister Elizabeth an infant died on the voyage to Australia.
Henry Charles Harman married Dorothea Haupt on 13 July 1892 at Gayndah Queensland Australia. The couple had 13 children Madeline, Harriet, Dorothy, Emily, Henry Charles, Sarah, Fredricka, James William, Alvina, Edith, Rose, May & Charles Edward.
Henry was active in the CofE church in Gayndah and there are many records of his attendance and of his presence as a witness to a church marriage.
There are several references in Newspapers to Henry Charles Harman and he was active in the district.
He died at the Maryborough District Hospital Maryborough Queensland Australia on 7 March 1929 and was buried at the Gayndah Cemetery after a service at St Matthews Church of England Church Gayndah Queensland Australia. [1] [2]
