When SALLIE NELSON HARMON was born on April 10, 1798, in Staunton, Virginia, her father, MICHAEL, was 25, and her mother, ELIZABETH, was 27. She married LAWRENCE TALIAFERRO CATLETT on June 8, 1817, in her hometown. They had 12 children in 26 years. She died on January 10, 1871, in Vance, Illinois, having lived a long life of 78 years, and was buried there.
