THOMAS F. HARNEY JR. (1892-1987) Massachusetts Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on 21 July 1892, the son of Thomas F. Harney Sr. and Mary A.Curran. Thomas F. Jr. was a sergeant in the Emmett Guard.
He married Mildred Mary Francisco, on 12 October 1914. She was the daughter of William A. Francisco and Mary Sullivan. Mildred died in 1963.
Thomas worked as a plumber, first at the Tucker and Rice Company and then in the shop opened by his father in 1933. He later owned and operated the former Harney Engineering company in Worcester. He retired in 1981, and died on 10 August 1987, at age 95.
According to his obituary, he was a founding member of Blessed Sacrament and Christ the King churches, both in Worcester, and St. Columbia's Church. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Auburn Lodge of Elks, the Paxton Senior Citizens and Worcester Council 136, United Commercial Travelers of America. He was buried in Mooreland cemetery.
