DANIEL HARNEY (1887-1955) was born 17 November 1887, in Fall River, Bristol County, Massachusetts, the youngest son of Michael Daniel Harney and Mary Doody.
After the early death of his parents, Daniel was sent to live on a farm with Hugh S. Vincent, in Edgartown, Dukes County (1900 Census). The Fall River city directories show a Daniel Harney boarding at 64 Kilburn Street in 1906 and 1907.
In 1908, he moved to Providence, Rhode Island. Daniel's older brother, John J. Harney, had moved to Providence, RI in 1904, but John returned to Fall River before his early death in 1908. Daniel's sister, Mary (Mrs. John) Moriarty, also lived in Providence.
Daniel married Mary Cropper and they had at least three children:
