ANDREW THOMAS HARNEY (1834-1899) Tennessee

Born 20 January 1834, the son of Thomas W. Harney and Cynthia A. (Bay) of DeKalb county. Andrew T., a blacksmith, married Susan Isabelle McCrary aka Susannah McCreary on 26 December 1855. Their children include:

  • Arthur Mack (b.1857);
  • Thomas Frank (b.1859);
  • James A. (b. Aug 1870);
  • Joseph (1861-63);
  • William (1868-68);
  • Cynthia Isabelle, known as "Bell" (b. June 1873), who married George FOUST;
  • Andrew L. (b. Jun 1876);
  • George L. Harney, b.1880
  • Iona Harney (1882-1963)

Andrew T. lived at Murfreesboro, Rutherford county, TN, later moving to Kansas, then on to Oklahoma. Only his oldest son, Arthur Mack Harney, returned to Tennessee. Susan is found living with her son, Andrew L. Harney, in Oklahoma, on the 1900 census. Sons, Thomas Frank, James, and George, and daughter, Bell, also settled in Oklahoma.

Andrew Thomas Harney died 31 August 1899. BURIAL at Mount Vernon Cemetery Lamont, Grant County, Oklahoma, USA.
