Miner married Susan/Susannah Marshall, dau of Benjamin, on 11 Apr 1871 in Hamilton Co. IN. Her father was a Justice of the Peace in Curtisville IN and a wealthy sawmill owner.

Miner and Susan had at a son,

In 1886, on 11 March, Susannah (Marshall) Harney married Albert T. Snook (1859-1933). Mr. Snook, known as Bert, was step-father to Ora A. Harney.

Research Note: Miner B Harney has a nephew also named Miner Harney (b.1870). He is the son of Miner Harney's brother, James R Harney and his first wife Sarah Shipley of Rush county, Indiana. Care must be taken not to confuse the two men with the same name.
